These Terms explain the rules that apply when you access or use The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation, manage an account, submit instructions or use the platform's online banking features.

Last updated: August 2026 Applies to registered customers Security and responsible use required
Please read these Terms carefully

By registering, accessing an account or using the platform, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Do not use the service when you do not understand or accept the applicable terms.

Protect your account

Keep passwords, PINs and verification codes confidential and report suspicious activity promptly.

Review instructions carefully

Confirm recipients, values and transaction details before authorizing a banking instruction.

Compliance is required

Accurate information and identity verification may be required before services or account features are enabled.

01

Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms form an agreement between you and the lawful operator of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation for use of the platform and its available services.

You may use the platform only when you are legally capable of entering into the agreement, meet the applicable account-eligibility requirements and provide the information reasonably required to establish and administer your account.

Additional product terms, disclosures, transaction rules or notices may apply to specific services. Where additional terms apply, they form part of your agreement for that service.

02

Account registration and information

You must provide complete, accurate and current information when registering and throughout the account relationship.

  • Do not create an account using another person's identity or information without lawful authority.
  • Notify support when important account information changes or needs correction.
  • Cooperate with reasonable verification, security, fraud-prevention and compliance enquiries.
  • Use the account only for lawful purposes and in accordance with any applicable product limits.

Certain identity, email, contact or compliance details may require support or administrator review before they can be changed.

03

Account security and credentials

You are responsible for taking reasonable measures to protect your account and authentication information.

  • Keep your password, transaction PIN and verification codes confidential.
  • Do not allow another person to use your credentials or authenticated session.
  • Use accurate contact information so that security and transaction notices can reach you.
  • Sign out from shared devices and take reasonable steps to secure devices used for online banking.
  • Notify support immediately when you suspect unauthorized access, credential compromise, fraud or an incorrect transaction.
Never disclose a verification code Do not share one-time codes, passwords or transaction PINs in response to an unsolicited message or request.
04

Services and availability

Available services may include account management, balance viewing, transfers, deposits, withdrawals, card-related features, notices and other digital banking functionality made available through the platform.

Features may depend on your account status, identity verification, available balance, product eligibility, transaction limits, technical availability and applicable compliance requirements.

The platform may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, network interruption, security events, third-party failure or circumstances outside reasonable control.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue a feature where reasonably necessary for security, compliance, maintenance, operational or legal reasons.

05

Transaction instructions and authorization

A transaction instruction submitted through an authenticated account may be treated as authorized where the required authentication, security and transaction controls have been completed.

Before confirming an instruction, you must review the recipient, account details, amount, reference and any displayed fees or limits.

  • A submitted transaction may be pending while security, balance, risk or compliance checks are completed.
  • Processing times may depend on payment networks, financial institutions, operating hours, verification checks and external systems.
  • An instruction may be declined, delayed, cancelled or placed under review when required for security, insufficient funds, incorrect information, legal compliance, fraud prevention or technical reasons.
  • A completed instruction may not be reversible, particularly after funds have been delivered to a recipient or external institution.
Verify recipient information You are responsible for carefully reviewing transaction details before authorization. Report an error promptly; recovery may not always be possible after processing.
06

Balances, statements and transaction records

Displayed balances and transaction statuses may change while entries are pending, reversed, corrected, reconciled or processed by an external institution.

You should review your account activity regularly and report suspected errors, duplicate entries or unauthorized transactions promptly.

Where a processing or recording error is identified, an appropriate correcting, reversing or adjustment entry may be applied. Historical financial records should be preserved rather than silently altered or erased.

07

Fees, limits and exchange information

Fees, transaction limits, processing conditions or exchange information may apply where displayed, disclosed or agreed for a particular service.

Applicable charges and limits should be presented before confirmation where reasonably possible. External institutions or service providers may impose separate charges outside the platform's control.

A transaction may be rejected when it exceeds an account, product, security, balance or compliance limit.

08

Identity verification and compliance

We may require identity verification, supporting documents, source-of-funds information or other compliance details before activating an account, enabling a feature or processing certain activity.

  • Submitted information and documents must be authentic, accurate and current.
  • Verification may remain under review while checks are completed.
  • Additional information or resubmission may be requested where documents are incomplete, unclear, inconsistent or expired.
  • An account may remain pending, restricted or frozen when required verification has not been completed.

Identity verification does not guarantee approval of an account, transaction, product or service.

09

Prohibited activity

You must not use the platform to:

  • Commit or facilitate fraud, theft, money laundering, unauthorized access or other unlawful activity.
  • Misrepresent your identity, authority, account ownership or transaction purpose.
  • Use another person's credentials, account or personal information without lawful authority.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, transaction controls, rate limits or access restrictions.
  • Upload malicious code, interfere with platform operation or probe systems without authorization.
  • Use the service in a manner that harms customers, service providers, financial institutions or the platform.
10

Electronic communications and notices

You agree that account, security, verification, transaction, service and legal communications may be delivered electronically through the platform, email, notifications or other approved contact channels.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your registered contact details and reviewing notices sent through those channels.

Security-critical communications may be delivered immediately, while routine service or informational messages may be processed through queued delivery systems.

A delivery delay or failure does not necessarily cancel an otherwise valid transaction or account instruction.

11

Privacy and personal information

Personal information is processed to operate accounts, verify identity, secure the platform, process banking activity, provide support and meet applicable legal or compliance obligations.

The Privacy Policy explains the categories of information collected, how information is used, information sharing, security safeguards, retention and available privacy rights.

By using the platform, you acknowledge the information practices described in the Privacy Policy.

12

Third-party systems and services

Some services may depend on external financial institutions, payment processors, identity-verification providers, email services, hosting providers, network operators or other approved service providers.

Third-party processing times, availability, charges, terms and security procedures may apply when you use an external service or follow an external link.

We are not responsible for third-party content or services that are not operated or controlled by the platform, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

13

Account restriction, suspension and closure

An account or feature may be placed in a pending, restricted, frozen, suspended or closed state where reasonably necessary because of:

  • Incomplete or unsuccessful identity verification.
  • Suspected fraud, unauthorized activity or security compromise.
  • A legal, regulatory, court or law-enforcement requirement.
  • A breach of these Terms or misuse of the platform.
  • Outstanding investigation, dispute, chargeback or compliance review.
  • A customer account-closure request processed through an approved support or administrative procedure.

Customer self-deletion is not available because financial, transaction, identity, compliance, security and audit records may need to be preserved.

Account closure is not data erasure Closing an account does not automatically delete all associated records. Information may remain retained where required for financial recordkeeping, fraud prevention, disputes, audits, security, enforcement or legal and regulatory obligations.
14

Responsibility and limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a right or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the platform operator will not be responsible for loss caused solely by:

  • Incorrect transaction details entered and authorized by the customer.
  • Disclosure of credentials or verification codes by the customer.
  • Unauthorized use that the customer failed to report within a reasonable time after becoming aware of it.
  • Third-party systems, network failures or events outside reasonable operational control.
  • Lawful compliance with a regulatory, court, security or law-enforcement requirement.

Each incident must be assessed according to its facts, the platform's conduct, applicable law and any mandatory customer protections.

15

Questions, disputes and complaints

Contact support promptly when you believe an account entry is incorrect, a transaction was unauthorized, service was not delivered correctly or these Terms were not followed.

Include sufficient information to identify the account, transaction or issue, but never send your password, full transaction PIN or verification code.

Complaints should be investigated through the platform's approved complaint process. Where applicable, you may also have the right to approach a relevant regulator, ombud, court or other authorized dispute-resolution body.

16

Changes to services and these Terms

These Terms may be updated when services, security controls, operational procedures, legal requirements or customer protections change.

The revised version will display an updated effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the platform, email or another appropriate channel.

Continued use after updated Terms take effect may indicate acceptance where permitted by applicable law. Where express acceptance is required, it should be obtained separately.

17

General provisions

Entire agreement

These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any applicable product-specific terms form the agreement governing your use of the relevant services.

Severability

Where a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions should continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

No waiver

A delay in enforcing a provision does not necessarily waive the right to enforce it later.

Assignment

You may not transfer account rights or obligations without lawful authorization. The operator may transfer its rights or responsibilities as part of a lawful restructuring, service transfer or business transaction, subject to applicable requirements.

Applicable law

These Terms are subject to applicable law and any mandatory consumer, privacy, electronic-transaction, financial-services and dispute-resolution protections.
